Learning Outcomes
This course meets the education requirements for registration as a licensed builder in NSW. On successful completion, you will receive a both the Certificate IV Building and Construction (Building) and the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), which can be used to apply for a NSW Building Licence.
Check your eligibility for a NSW Building Licence before you enrol. As there may be extra requirements to register, completion of this program does not guarantee you can obtain a NSW Building Licence.

Career and Salary
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, to help you obtain your licence, we recommend that you have at least 2 years of experience in the building and construction industry, as well as a basic knowledge of the BCA and other standards.
Assessment
- Completion of assessment tasks
Assessment is against the competency standards within the Construction Training Package (CPC08). Expect to spend about 200 hours on assessment tasks.
