Starting and maintaining a small sustainable business can be challenging. Some sacrifices to family and personal time are inevitable in the beginning as you build your references, your network, your work portfolio and case studies. If you can, go where the work is and do the work that the bigger companies don’t go after because it is a small engagement or perhaps in a remote area or not close to a major capital city.
